This wood carving of St. John stands at the entrance to the parish centre, right outside the office.
Come you all: enter into the joy of your Lord. You the first and you the last, receive alike your reward; you rich and you poor, dance together; you sober and you weaklings, celebrate the day.
- St. John Chrysostom

Welcome to St. John's Parish!

Dear Parishioner,

A parish is, as we hear so often, a community of faith, a special union of all who are baptized into the life of the Risen Lord. As a community of faith, we gather on Sundays, not for our own private devotions and prayers, but to offer together our prayer and thanksgiving to God. The more we become actively involved in these celebrations, the more profoundly they can shape us into authentic followers of Jesus.

A faith community is more than just a worshipping community. Faith demands action. We are also a community of evangelization and service. We bear a common responsibility to grow in faith, to care for one another, to hand on our faith, and to look out for the needs of the people in our community.

This website has been created as a way to provide parishioners with information about how our parish attempts to live out the mission of the church in all these ways. It has information regarding all the ministries and activities of the parish.

If you are a new member to the parish, please register so that we can welcome you personally into our community. You can register directly from this website by clicking at the bottom of this page. Alternately, registration forms are available at the back of the church and can be dropped off at the parish office or in the collection basket. If you have been a member for some time but have never registered, please take this opportunity and do so now.

God has given each of us unique talents and abilities which we are called to use for the building up of the church and the healing of the world. We encourage to you to use these talents by becoming active members of the parish.

May all of us continue to grow in sharing and celebrating the love that God has given to each and every one of us.

Robert W. Ouellette, (Rev.)
