Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens
7th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The Rite of Acceptance into the Order of Catechumens is the first of the public rites celebrated in the RCIA. During this important ritual, the inquirers publicly declare their intention to continue their journey toward full initiation in the Catholic church, and the community accepts them, offering its support and witness during the journey.
