St. John Chrysostom
was born in 347 CE in Antioch. Because of his exceptional
speaking ability, he earned the title Chrysostom - which means
"golden mouthed." He was headed for a promising career in law but
after his baptism at the age of 23, he decided to enter the
priesthood.
